Project Overview

Project Overview

How might we use augmented reality to design playful, intuitive interactions that feel natural and expressive in physical space?

As part of a sponsored externship through Snap Inc., I explored how AR can extend mobile interaction beyond the screen. Using Lens Studio, I designed and prototyped a gesture-based AR experience focused on creating delight through minimal, spatially responsive UI.

This ongoing project investigates how we can simplify interactions in AR environments while maintaining user control, context, and emotional clarity. Final deliverables will include a published AR lens, storyboards, and interaction flows.

What I'm Exploring

Designing for movement instead of taps: How can gestures replace clicks in an intuitive way?

Prototyped 3 interaction flows using Lens Studio

  • Built one functional lens with object tracking and gesture-based animation triggers

  • Storyboarded 2 alternative concepts exploring emotion-based UI vs. utility-based overlays

  • Final lens currently in review for public Snap publishing

Early Deliverables:

I designed and prototyped three key user flows:

  1. Triggering Safer Waiting Mode via contextual cues

  2. Interacting with safety tools: flashlight, landmark pins, share ride

  3. Emergency interactions: tap & hold, fallback contact

Early Deliverables:

Create a free website with Framer, the website builder loved by startups, designers and agencies.
